Here are some facts about the sets from the FM. I owned both sets for years and parted with them some time back when money was tight. This set is officially titled "The Official Gaming Coins of the World's Great Casinos". It's an unusual and attractive set that contains twenty five sterling silver gaming tokens from famous casinos from around the world. Two series were issued - the first in 1978 (green display case) and the second (red display case) in 1986. Each set has different casinos. The "red set" is much rarer than the "green set". The following was stated by the Mint at the time of purchase. "Each token is redeemable at the casino of issue for $25 or the approximate equivalent value in the currency of the country (francs, pesos, pounds, etc)." Assuming the casino still exists you may be able to redeem them? Each set contains a total of 17 ounces of Sterling Silver. Issues price for a set was $875.00 or $35.00 for each token. I hope this answers your question and provides some insight into the sets. Don
