As much as I (and Shane too) love "silver" strikes. Me myself and I 100% love the hobby. And if it takes clads to keep the hobby alive then it is clads I want to see in the machines. Just for us and a few others a sprinkling of real silver gets us to shove those $100 bills in the machines. Are we over paying for an ounce of silver. H*ll yea. But we also get the fun memories of winning them for XXX $$$"s. And the priceless amount we get in return being with others who are doing the same thing.
Ok sure we can go see the latest movie and spend what $60 for a couple and that's if you do not do supper out first. Then in two hours what do you have. Zip in your hands. Play the strike machine and if you loose the same $60 it's darn fine because of the group of like minded folks we are with.
Buy, sell and trade. It's all fun when done with great friends.
Not positive yet, I just might show my ugly self this October and I never come between tournaments. Tournament time at the Four Queens is such a blast. Maybe I'll check out the in-between time.
My strikes worth,
Dennis
Besides, I do like the bringing back of the 24KT Gold Plating
