I was the President of the Club when we wrote the original bylaws. I added that provision and hoped that the Board would vote to enact it and allow us to buy life memberships but the Board members at the time decided not to do it. It has never been enacted so we are still unable to buy a life membership.

We have had a lots of serious collectors over the years that would have bought a life membership if they had been given the chance but as time passed they lost interest and have sold off their collections and are no longer members.
