What a beautiful example. Notice the early dings/dents on the bar and then the delicate patina on the bar. I remember the Hunt Bros. days and the consternation regarding silver collectibles (mostly ‘76 issues not casino related) and the melt value. I still miss my 100 oz bar I won in a poker game and promptly sold during that time. Catch me at the next tournament and I will relate the impetus behind selling it. Most of my 10 oz bars were purchased $12-$14 but the design and beauty of the bars is worth more than initial cost and current value. Correct me if I have this wrong but I don’t believe that Dunes bar would trade hands for less than $500.
Btw, I do enjoy your perspectives and guess-tamations. I would offer, as you alluded, no one is around to argue.
