Shane, all of your ideas are good and interesting. As we all know every square foot of casino floor needs to generate a certain minimum of income/profit/play. And to make denominational changes to tokens takes a lot of paper work and approvals from Nevada Gaming. Shaun has to get approval from Nevada Gaming for every design he wants to put on the different strikes clad or silver. It all takes time. I am pleased Shaun is able to keep giving out the little bit of silver he does. Mixed with clad is how it has to work. I only wish other casinos would follow his lead and bring in some silver red caps.
When the next casino to bring in strike machines I can hope they add silver if need be mixed with the clads. The Plaza had a perfect chance to bring in a red cap with the 50th anniversary. They went with a blue cap clad.
Its a hobby and as collectors we collect what we like. I like to .999 silver. Others like the painted clads. So they get mixed at the 4 Queens and we all get a little of what we like.
