I suppose I said all that to say that I believe that Players and Players Island are the same riverboat casino. And there is no such city in Louisiana called Players Island. I have no idea why the price guide would list them separately.
More info: For what it's worth, the Star casino got moved from the New Orleans area (Lake Pontchartrain) to Lake Charles a couple of years after Players opened. Players was making so much money in Lake Charles, pulling in the Houston market, that they decided to double their capacity with the pairing. Then Players, the management company, got into hot water with the law by paying kickbacks to some high-ranking Louisiana government officials, including the governor who spent a bit of time in prison for racketeering. Selling everything to Harrah's pretty much bailed them out from being shut down by the law.
