Many years ago when one could not get face value for many $10 silver strikes, I knocked out hundreds of centers from silver strikes. Still have them today waiting for silver to make the big jump again, but probably not in my lifetime! Meanwhile the centers are sitting in a canvass bag that my heirs will probably have to deal with!
