I’m sure some coin collectors can shed some light on this. The frosted highly polished coins or strikes are the first struck. If coins they would be proof like. The dies are new and highly polished when these are struck. In coins they demand a premium and I think they deserve the same in strikes. You can see they are more pleasing to the eye.
