down with a feather. Soooo, happy to hear from you on here and to know you are still collecting. I was sure you had quit. I am sure most everyone knows I am not a fan at all about the "silver" strikes becoming clads. So instead I went your direction and got pretty heavy into collecting the different casino sterling or .999 silver tokens. An area that I find is very interesting and to think what the different sales people did to get each casino to place the orders. Keeping in mind silver melt was around $3 - $5 an ounce way back then. Not to mention in the last 30 plus years there have been a couple big silver melt downs so these tokens can be quite hard to locate.
Side note. Makes me pleased your little ones enjoyed and still enjoy the squished (elongated cents). That is a whole side area for me for sure. I have given kids those when ever I can. I like to think it can start them on a journey of collecting. Something, anything. Hobbies are fun.
Kids are something else. I have two sons. One is a big time coin and sometimes casino collector. The second son, collects memories of all his travels with work and his friends.
Thank you for posting that your set is not gold plated.
