These generic sets were sold in most all Colorado Casino gift shops. The first issue came
out in the late 1990's. They were not really popular sellers. The sets were sponsored by the
"The Heritage Alliance" which is dedicated to the preservation of architectural, historical, and
also cultural heritage items, overseeing operations of many museums in the USA .....
Lately, asking price on Ebay has averaged from $12 - $18 .... alot available on line.
I had one of these sets and had sold it about 4 years ago for $75, because there wasn't
much interest in it. Bill Cohnenour and I had a conversation about the set when I showed
him the one I had. He seem to remember talking to someone who told him that there was
1000 sets made, plus the individual strikes that were in strike machines in all of the Colorado
casinos, so no telling the total number of these strikes were actually minted because all of
the Colorado casinos had them meaning there was in reality at least a 1,000 of each loose
strikes minted.
