Captain Brett Crozier

Captain Brett Crozier, Commander of the nuclear aircraft carrier, USS Theodore Roosevelt, raised the alarm about a coronavirus outbreak on his ship was wrongfully dismissed and relieved of his duties.
An online petition demanding the reinstatement of Capt.Crozier has now attracted more than 245,000 signatures.
"His crime was asking for help regarding the safety of his crew when a COVID-19 outbreak," a description on the change.org petition reads."His actions possibly saved many lives. Although he was fired, his plan to safely remove crew members was still implemented. He is a hero who should be rewarded.”
It was not an easy decision and it took a huge amount of courage to sacrifice your life career and your passion to write the letter seeking help. As Capt. Crozier states, “We are not at war. Sailors do not need to die. If we do not act now, we are failing to properly take care of our most trusted asset — our Sailors.”
I highly respect a leader who cares enough for his people to make such a sacrifice. I pray our leaders in government can learn from Capt. Crozier’s example. I have submitted and added my signature on this petition in hopes that it will make a difference.
