30% + votes from our total membership of 400@ is “substantial” as far as only a core group of members with a relative baseline of 100 to 150 active hard collecting members.
So that leaves 2/3rds on the fence (new) to the hobby and not as caught up in it as the rest, and we have to realize that they didn’t get to play the dozens of machines on a regular basis as we did.
Their commitment to be involved may not be a priority to them. They don’t have new real .999 strikes popping up all across the country like we did, they never experienced the rush. But they’re still on the sidelines and participate in whatever way they can. I spent many years on the sidelines and it’s okay. When they want a choice of things happening in the club they’ll make it when they’re ready.
You’ve welcomed them, encouragied them, we can’t expect any more from you Jeff.
