There were many times when we had cracked cases we would purchased clear capsules and painted the rims with nail polish for the colors we needed, red, blue, yellow etc. We also realized that if you really enjoy looking at your strikes just having the rim colored you have a better image of the strike. Maybe the mint or someone is trying out new ideas with strikes. I know our collection has many cases with just the rims painted as the cased are also easy to crack and since air is the enemy of strikes you need good clean and solid cases for their protection.
