Here is a question for all Strike experts out there...
Does anyone know what is the actual mint process for the hologram tokens (e.g. Riviera tokens) and the Colorized strikes (e.g. Red & Blue Caps, Wynn’s $40 Strike, $200 Strikes)?
Are they both, a glue-on sticker or decal process that is heat-transferred and permanently applied onto the surface of the strike or is the process more complex? I have heard that the manufacturing of hologram strikes is expensive. If in fact, it is just a sticker, then I would think it would be very inexpensive to apply stickers or decals to the Hologram’s brass tokens and the surface of the silver on Silver Strikes.
Thank you for sharing your input,
Gene
