When I got the Santa it was in a large clear cap just like the ones you have shown. I got it from a coin store and it almost found the smelting pot since the dealer did not think anyone would want a enameled strike. But he knows I at least want to see everything and I can pay more than melt or I will let him know to pop them apart and melt them down. Hate to see strikes go to the melting pot but it happens. Can't save them all. Same with chips, can't save them all.
