This is for all of our Silver Strikers Club Members:
As most of you already know as of October 15, 2017 nominations for the Silver Strikers Club Officers was opened. We are a Nonprofit Organization (Section 501(c)(7) of the Internal Revenue Code). This club cannot function without officers. The state of Nevada makes it mandatory for a club with this nonprofit status must have a President, Secretary and Treasurer at the minimum to operate.. If no one runs for these offices the club will have to disband.
The current officers have all agreed to help anyone who wishes to step and run for an office.
It is time for someone else to step up and help share the load.
Nominations will close on November 15, 2017
Here is a brief description of each office. To see the complete description got to the Silver Striker Club web site and look in the Bylaws.
Duties of President
• Presides at all officially-called Club meetings;
• Appoints all committees, chairpersons, and appointees
• Conducts the business of the Club with the advice and counsel of the other Officers;
• Coordinates all Club activities with the Officers of the Club.
Duties of 1st Vice President/Membership
• Acts in the absence of the President at all meetings;
• Directs all membership activities including maintaining the roster, providing membership packets, and conducting membership drives;
• Maintains the dues status of each member;
Duties of 2nd Vice President
• coordinates annual meetings and activities including exhibits, badges, meeting rooms, promotions and auctions;
• Acts as Newsletter Editor or directs and assists the Newsletter Editor with the Club’s communications;
• Performs additional duties as directed by the President.
Duties of Secretary
• Conducts the Club’s official correspondence and serves as the Club’s prime contact on all inquiries;
• Takes and maintains all official minutes for Officer and Club meetings;
• Prepares official documents;
• Receives club coin contest submittals.
Duties of Treasurer
• Records all income received.
• All disbursements and payments must be made by check when practical.
• Maintains a petty cash fund for the annual club meeting not to exceed $100
