Thanks for the advice but spending $200 on something that I will not use that often seems like a waste of money. Who cares if anyone can hear the detector? I'll be by myself with no one will be around anyway. Besides, I just want a good one, not one that costs too much. I do not want the cheapest but I do not want the most expensive. I probably will only use it maybe 6 times a year. Just for fun. But I want one that will work when I do use it. Like I said in my earlier post on the 4Th of July the city lets off fireworks and about one hundred thousand people go to the beach to watch. i want to go on the 5Th and look for loose change and jewelry. Just something to do and get some walking exercise in.
