I am a fairly new member to your club, and it has been
very helpful in information on strikes and locating some that I am
looking for. The members here have been great answering some
questions I have had. A special thanks to Charley SS220, who
sent me the 4 Queens Iwo Jima Strike with the Marines raising
the flag on Mount Suribachi during WW2.

My name is Al Varelas, my wife Mary and I live in Springfield, MA.
I am retired with a 100% military disability, combat related. I am
proud of my service in the Marine Corps, having served in Vietnam
where I was awarded the Silver Star for jumping on a grenade to
shield others from getting hurt, and got the Purple Hearts for being
wounded. I joined in the mid 60's and was not drafted. My wife Mary
is retired also, being a banker for 42 years - AVP at Bank of Boston.

I plan on going to your next tournament in June, and look forward
to meeting other member.
