Same strike different values? here why

Hello,
Every strike has 3 values. The first one is the face value (which is on the strike). The second one is the scrap value (based on current market value and metal content). The third value is collector value (which can be a 100 times the scrap value or face value or more). It is easy to determine the face value because it is on the strike. The scrap value is a little harder to determine because precious metals values change every 5 minutes plus it depends on how much metal is in that particular strike and how much the scrap dealer is willing to pay. Some scrap dealers pay more than others. The hardest one to determine is the collector value. It is only worth what someone is willing to pay. I've seen $10 strikes go for a thousand dollars. It all depends. There are price guide books out there that tracks the current collector market values. I hope this helps some of the new people understand some of the pricing values.
