Re: Silver vs. Clad

I appreciate the discussion. Here is the page showing all these commemorative strikes from the Casino Tokens Mint in 1993.
My opinion (IMHO), making a 1/2 oz, 1 oz and 2 oz version of a token with the mint mark under the casino would qualify as Silver, not clad. I have been told that silver clad are magnetic, where solid silver will not be attracted to a magnet. I have placed these next to a powerful magnet and get no response.

I see, on the website, where the ones that are marked .999 fine silver do not have the mint mark. This may have been the distinction the mint decided to use, since they did not have enough room around the casino picture to print the silver designation.

Remember, 1998 was the year that the mints started stamping the .999 fine silver actually on the silver as a requirement for token production. These were produced in 1993, long before they were required to stamp the silver.
I am selling this item as solid silver.
