Hey George,
Hope all is well with you. Personally, looking at the casinos this guy has collected, I think a new collector would be well served to pay the $4400.00 and have an outstanding collection of the .999 fine silver strikes. They are already in books, which is always a plus for a collector who wants to LOOK at the strikes and ENJOY them.
I would not be keeping them together, as Dennis said, and I would want to get them at a price I could resell individual strikes and make a profit. With eBay fees at up to 10% and PayPal fees at 7%, that reduces the price I could pay and make any money.
The other consideration is silver collecting. Silver is around $20 a troy ounce right now. Having 0.5-0.6 troy ounces of .999 fine silver in most of these strikes would give a silver collector a price to offer for just the silver. I think silver is bound to go up and the strikes will be worth more in a couple of years.
I know you are a long time collector. If you are interested in selling your collection, please contact me directly and we can discuss price.
Peggy
