OK here's the story:
Someone posted they had some stirikes for sale. After contacting him and talking to him on the phone, a deal was made. We agreed that a payment would be sent via Paypal. Since he hadn't used Paypal in awhile we weren't sure if it would take but it should have. I sent him a payment and Paypal took the money out of my account. I sent him my address, (plus he had my phone number, e-mail address). I told him that if he had any problems to let me know. After an hour I called him to make sure everything was OK. He said he did not receive payment yet. In my Paypal is said it was unclaimed. He got an e-mail from Paypal about the transaction. He called Paypal and they said the e-mail was fraudulant. I offered to call Paypal myself to straighten it out since they had taken the money out of my account. He sent me an e-mail wanting to cancel our deal stating he couldn't trust me because of his call to Paypal. I was Pi$$ed off because my honor was at stake. All the guy had to do was give me a chance. Even though he does not know me he could have asked on the board if I was trustworthy or not. Also, he didn't have to send the strikes until he was satisfied with the payment. I sent him another e-mail and copied and pasted the transaction from my Paypal account to show him I wasn't lying. I also told him I would post on the board to show that I have never cheated anyone and was trustworthy. I kept my word by posting. Within an hour the strikes were sold to someone else. I do not know if he got a better deal but once a deal is made you stick with it. Give it a chance to work out. He wasn't out anything. I have not received an e-mail from this guy for stating if he believed me after all of this or an apology. I hope he reads this but I do not want him to reply to this post to save him the embaressment. I got my money back from Paypal so I'm not out anything except my pride. I always try to do the right thing. I have traded, bought and sold strikes for years and never had a problem. Everyone I have dealt with in the past should know I would never cheat them. If I have cheated them I would like to know about it because it is not my style to do so. I have taken losses on deals becasue it was my mistake but a deal is a deal. It just made me mad when someone said they couldn't trust me. Ok I have vented now and I feel a little better.
