My 2 strikes worth ...
In Response To: Rude Collectors. ()

I remember at one time, some Vegas casinos had a rule that a player could only occupy a silver strike machine through one fill. That is; when the hopper went empty, the next person who signed up to play the machine was given his/her turn. These were the old .999 fine silver strike machines that held 50 strikes, prior to the clads columns machines. Anyone else recall that?

I have no problem with those silver strike players who can afford to play slots for hours and hours. It's first-come, first-served. Personally, I like to play the (non-silver strike) .25 cent red, white and blue reel machines. These machines are getting harder and harder to find on many casino's floor. It seems like almost everything is now penny video machines. If another player is playing the favorite machine that I like for hours, who am I to say he/she should give it up to allow me a chance to play? Why should silver strike machines be any different ... especially if the player is winning?
