The following is an unfortunate incident with another collector.
After an ebay auction I had ended, I was contacted through ebay’s message service by a fellow strike and casino silver token collector that they had missed bidding by a couple of minutes. Since I happened to have a duplicate of the particular silver token that I was planning on selling later I did some checking on ‘The Strike Point’ and found that this collector had asked for trades in the past on the message board. I have bought and sold to this individual in the past through ebay and have had no issues so instead of placing my duplicate token on ebay, I offered to trade it and mentioned their original post on this board. They provided me with a list of duplicates that they had and I chose one to make a trade. Addresses were exchanged in emails and I shipped off my part of the trade with delivery confirmation. The USPS website shows that my package was sent on Sept 17 and was delivered to the Missouri address on Sept. 19. Since then I have not received the other party’s coin as part of the trade and I have sent three emails with no reply. I don’t know if this individual is a club member but they have occasionally participated on this message board. Live and learn I guess.
