Great news on the assay results. After some of what I read, I thought the numbers would not come out .999 But, both lots assayed right on:
Lot 1 - Mostly newer strike centers (stamped .999) but some old (no .999 stamp) = .9996
Lot 2 - Mostly older strike centers, some new = .9994
No insoluables (Sn, Pt, Au)
Copper was 95% of the contaminant, trace Cd, Ni
The two lots were nearly 1000 total punched centers from $10 strikes only, no $7's or $40's. They represented casinos in NV (majority), NJ, MI, LA, WI, CO, and SD to name a few that come to mind right now.
These were not my strikes, came from a coin shop in Florida. Although melting would not have been my first choice, I was very happy to be able to personally inspect and prepare for refining and be able to share the results with all of you.
