Promo is short for Promotional and it's usually a sample given to the casinos to preview before they decide if they want to order it. Promos could also be given out at special events like conventions or trade shows. Since Craig worked at the Palms, there's a good chance he had access to promos that were given to the casino, so that's why I'm guessing that Playboy Shield is a promo.
