The two pieces are put together first (silver & brass ) then the coin is struck both sides at one time. As in the last coin I made it coin aligned on purpose for the fun of it. Dies are locked in the press top and bottom and can be put in at most any angle. When one gets a rotated die the die has come loose in its holder. They are inspected closley but what ever is struck rotated usually gets out in the machines as do the double strike ones. Jeff
