First off I want to thank the folks who have sent offers (and they are still coming in since Bill posted his message) for the new Club strike, and also say it is a shame that a few more won't be minted but as Bill Jollie told me the offer period from the Mint has long since passed and he also feels that if it was possible to get more made the cost of minting more would be very much higher (around $55 to $60 with postage etc.)and he didn't think it a good idea.
Perhaps next year if there were more pre minting orders the club would think about a higer mintage number, Bill also said that 25% of the new strikes remained unsold at the time of the club meeting and those got sold by the end of week.
One thing for certain the club created a RARE issue and only a 100 collectors will have a complete set of club strikes.
Also want to say to the people who said it is wrong to profit off selling the new club strike for more than issue price is its a free market and they don't have to buy mine if they feal that way, I feel it is up to a collector to pay what he or she thinks they are willing to pay to have a scarce if not rare club strike.
