After all these years we are still a fun Club to be a part of and this Hobby has a great bunch of people involved in it. Walt, I guess I should have said the picture of the real strike has not been up on the Club web site very long.
One thing folks may not remember is back when we did the first Coin we sold them from our Silver Strikers Club table. We also sold shirts and it seems like we had some buttons and other items to sell or give away to promote the Club. This coin was an excellent thing to use as a promotional item...When we did the first one.. we had them on display at our table during the convention and the only people we sold coins to were SS Club members and we would tell folks that stopped by to look at our stuff that as a bonus of there new membership they could buy one of our Club Coins.. I know later we started selling them to any one that wanted one but at first it was that way. You had to be a member to get one....I also know that now we are no longer able to sell items from our table because we do not pay a dealer fee. The way we solved that problem was to have our members that had dealer tables sell them for us from their table. And that worked out fine...I did not make the last convention so I assume that we are still doing it this way.
As for those who still want one I still think more can be minted and sold if the officers of the Club were up to doing it....
