Hello everyone, The year I became President of the Club was the first year we did a coin and we minted 500 coins and with some work and time we sold them all. It took some work but we did it. I think we sold 400 without any trouble and the last hundred were sold over the next couple of years. The second coin we only did 400 because that seemed to serve the demand and give us a few to sell over time. These fund raiser is what put the Club on solid financial ground and paved the way to the many things we were able to do from there. We made money and everyone that wanted a coin got one and I mean everyone. No short mintage and plenty to go around. I did not get to come to the Convention this year due to a family illness and an eventual death in my family and many other things going on here. The last thing on my mind through this trying time was ordering a coin ahead of time. I just had other problems to attended to that were way more pressing and I did not order in time. I have made arrangements to get the coin from another great friend who did attend and did pick up an extra. I don't want to create a controversy but I think selling out this quick is not what a fund raiser is all about. If you don't have product to sell how are you going to continue to raise funds through out the year? Selling out is good but you got to have enough made to last a little while. The coin has not even been on the web site a month and it is already sold out and no more income for the CLUB....Just my two pennies worth.
