Paul - It wasn't like everybody who wanted a club strike didn't have a chance to get one, there was a good time period to order and was advetised a lot. The unsold strikes at the tournament and club meeting were sold to anybody who wanted the unwanted strikes. Remember Club members were the only one's that could order a strike until the order period had gone by so members shouldn't complain about not being able to get one. Also the effort to continue to hold and try and sell the past years srikes was a big burden to the officers and I see the 2010 (10th ann.) club strike is still not sold out. There have been a few years when the club didn't make money and even tho the strike progam is the main fund raiser for the club it has become a huge headache for the officers and the others involved in keeping the strikes and sending them out if somebody ordere one.
Maybe next year the club should do a Pre-Order deal and then have a cut off date and then order for the ones who really want a strike and then nobody will have a reason to complain. But then again not everybody can be made happy and there will still be the ones who complain.
