Wes, that statement about dealers not wanting strikes that do not have the 999 on them is pretty much true. My local coin store will buy them. However he will pay $4.00 back of spot. He tells me that is because he gets paid less from his smelter. He will now pay $2.50 back on $10 strikes that do have the 999 on the insert. He also pays $4.00 back on $20, $40 and $200's. He said because of the smelter again not wanting the Gold Plating. I am looking around because I just do not want to give that much up.
