Only time will tell, the problem is there are no records of how many strikes are being melted. The only way you will know that an old common strike is rare and more valuable is that you may not be able to get one on ebay as easily. What will make the strikes worth more than spot (when silver is high) is that maybe there are some bullion buyers who were introduced to silver strikes and now are strike collectors. The more collectors, the better the prices.
