off to melt for most silver strikes these days I guess, watching the Silver Strike auctions not much seems to be selling for more than a little below melt value. I had a $200 4 Queens in auction and canceled the auction with 14 hours to go because I couldn't even get melt value. I guess there just isn't a lot of collectors out there that want to add to their collections and even fewer new collectors and that is sad.
It will sure bring tears to the eyes when Rare, Scarce and the very limited number strikes go to the melting pot and there will never be a chance to aquire them to complete a collection.
Sad but true I guess everything comes to and end at some point in time. What will happen to the Silver Strikers Club ? Will the members just gather at the 4 Queens slot tournaments and the convention ? The good that came of the strike program was meeting and dealing with a lot of real nice folks.
