You're right, the board has been kind of quiet lately.
I'm not sure if the $300 from the QQQQ will qualify as a collectible $300, but if it's the only one they ever make, it probably will be desired by at least as many people as they made of the strike (was that 150?) and that will make it collectible. With silver where it is today around $27, there's a chance it will be the only $300, but I don't know what Shaun at QQQQ and Sam's Town have in the works. I think the casinos are still ahead at $300 as long as you have to turn in strikes to get the $300's even if they cost $325-350 to make. They are not selling the $300 strikes, they are trading 30 hard earned $10 strikes for them. Last time I was at QQQQ I had about $10 in each strike, but I also played some other slots, had breakfast and lunch there, bought a couple things at the gift shop etc. So, I think as long as you have to trade $10 strikes, the casinos are still adding to the bottom line. That has to happen for the program to continue.
I doubt the casino bosses follow ebay, but I think going from a $200 to a $300 was a pretty easy decision. It's pretty simple to see that there are at least 150 people who will pay $285-300 for a One Pounder (plus a little shipping). But how many One Pounders go for $400 or more? Someone mentioned the TI, the Roulette Woman, and I think a couple others. But I think $400 strikes would take some players out of the game. My question that I asked before was would it matter to the Casinos if they didn't sell out the first day? I think not, maybe it would be nice to have One Pounders around for a month or two so more people can participate in the program.
Okay, that probably enough out of me. Look forward to seeing you in Vegas around the strike machines too.
