Hi Jay, That strike was in a collection I am selling and I was told that it came out of the strike machine that way and I have no reason not to believe it as they are in my eyes honest collectors. I never took it out of it's case to check the center to see if it was loose or not. I will offer you a full refund if you like, Just let me know. Warren
