Today I spend sometime talking to a few Refiners that will deal with a private party and found that the best price on Silver to be refinded ( this is what silver strikes are )was 96% of spot if sending in 10 Troy Pounds or more at one time, the others I talked to were all paying 92% for silver to be refined so this is between 4% and 8% back of spot the day they refine the silver. So if the dealer that Dennis works with is paying $1.50 back of spot for any amount he is the best buyer at this time paying 935% of spot.
I haven't confirmed anything with the dealer Dennis works with to see if his buy price is for silver that has to be refined.
Kitco will still buy Even Weight Bars and Rounds if they are made by suppliers they deal with ( J&M, Engalhard and a few others plus they will buy 90& U.S. Silver Coins (pre 1965)from a private party and they pay the best for those types of items, today they were paying .15 back of spot of bars and rounds and 141/2 times face for 90$ silver coins.
Dennis if you read this I would still like the phone number of your dealer.
