I presume you took them out of the case to weigh them?

If they were sold silver they should weigh 40.1 grams.

The regular silver and brass weigh 35.2. I suspect yours have 1.8g of plating on them.
Although your scans are small, one little clue to me was that the lettering didnt look as sharp as it should.
