Evelyn and I will take credit for the start of our club web site. We had talked about it for some time and then with perfect timing Jim Moser came into our lives. He lived right here in Orlando near us and the three couples became friends. The best part was Jim was knowledgeable enough to set up the web site and agreed to do the task and to take care of it.
For quite a few years Jim did a wonderful job but personal reasons came to be and Jim Quinn took over. Each of our Jim's have a done a fabulous job and both work totally volunteer.
The club web site was created for silver strike news, anything that our club members might be interested in and for the casinos to get their message out about new strikes or events they might have for the silver strikers. No we do not charge the casinos to post their information, No the banners are not just for club events.
The Palms tournament was posted on the club web site just as the Four Queens tournaments have been. There has been no special treatment for any casino. When I get correct information from a casino or the mint it is posted.
Strike point is a great message board and one our members use and enjoy. I don't know how to post the flyer on this site and like many of you I am not interested in learning. If a member wants to get the flyer from the club web site and can post it here thats great. Thanks Jim Munding, as he has accomplished this for you.
The club web site is for the Silver Strikers Club members but anyone is welcome to visit our club web site as much information is available there. Our club is a non profit club, a social club, we have events, a newsletter, and web site. A few of these things cost money and thats why we pay dues. There are many of us who cannot attend all the events, tournaments, trade sessions, parties but the are there for those who can. Our newsletter is sent to all members, each of us enjoy some benefits the the Silver Strikers Club.
I have great hopes that things will change in the next few months and some good news will be coming with more casinos getting back into the silver strike program. I am working very hard on being positive about the strike program and I don't care for all the negative comments and complaints that are constantly posted here. If you have a complaint please step up to the plate and volunteer. We will be happy to have the help. There are many who have worked hard to keep this club going, we have many members who love being a part of this club and all are welcome, particate where you can, we are a good group who enjoy striking and having a good time but we try very hard to be positive not negative. Thanks
