Here's a good one for you.
Since you are, by now, immune to the effects of any badgering you might receive from your many controversial posts, I thought you wouldn't mind giving one of your un-abashed, un-abridged tirades about a hypothetical situation.
How do you feel about one of our buddy collectors who would:
1) Find an auction that no one has bid on yet, an item that the seller obviously does not know the value of, then contact the seller and talk him into closing the auction so he can buy it under the table. (for a considerable profit, by the way)
NOTE: This one, while unethical and against eBay rules, if the situation was right, I might do it as just a "hard-nosed" business deal).
2) Find an item that one of the BB readers has ALREADY bid on, then purchases it from the seller as in the scenario above, THEN has the NERVE to try to dispose part of it using our BB, as if to snub his nose at the bidder who lost out.
NOTE: This one I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole.
I'm asking you, TOM, to seriously give your opinions on these two scenarios, because as controversial as you seem to be, people also seem to love reading what you are going to come up with next...and no, I don't think you would do something like the above. I mean...it looks like you don't even bid.
