My guess is that all those bidders who bid over $100 have no clue what Silver Strikes even are, and are not strike collectors but guitar memorabilia collectors. I don't think any of them thought it was some kind of rare error.
On a related subject, how come there are so many misspellings on those anyway? Rickenbacker is misspelled Rickenbacer, Hoffner is misspelled Hofner. Is it their way of getting around copyright laws? Like how the Palms made the Listor instead of Lister?
