The early or first $200 strike machines were $5 machines, which I think, explains why there seems to be a lot fewer of those early $200s around. I also think the machines were taken out because they did not get a lot of play.
When Caesars Palaces was talking about re-introducing the $200 machine and people heard that it was going to be a $5 machine many of the collectors stated that they would not play it if it were going to be a $5 machine.
I think the 20 for 1 exchange program was conceived in order to entice more players to try for the $200. It worked so I would not expect any changes soon.
