I've wrestled with this question myself. When the
$200 strikes were quite limited they were a curiosity if nothing else. Now it seems they are going to be quite prolific. Are they a true strike? If popping out of a machine is a criteria the answer is no. Since strike play is related because they are " won " by trade due to machine
play the answer is yes. It is a judgement call up
to each collector. A line has to be drawn somewhere. There are so many silver tokens issued by casinos that are not machine dispensed. I can understand why the author would draw the line on the O'sheas tournament strike. It would not surprise me to even see $200 strikes excluded by some future catalogue authors.
