How do you arrive at these numbers for 1 in 25 and one in 17 for example? Isn't this all in the computer chip and only known by the Mfg.?

ANSWER: If you count the frequency that Red 7 comes up on each line on the third reel, say 1 in every 70 spins, then naturally that would be the frequency that you will hit three Red 7's when they appear on a line on the first two reels. I believe they set the frequencies on these computer chips for each symbol. A White 7 will appear on any line on the third reel about 1 in 25. A blue 7 about 1 in 17. These are subject to change slightly as I get more frequencies.

As for the Progressive, do any machines still have that? I remember they came out with that and in a few months, the amount was locked at a specific figure.

ANSWER: I believe there are some casinos that have progressives but most are locked in at $1000.

As for the per strike figure, I would think your extensive play and others who play hours, much be able to get together and come up with an extrapolated figure.

Answer: I keep a record of money in and strikes won which will give me an average cost per strike. But I also want to know the average cost per strike using symbol frequencies and when I come up with nearly the same dollar amount per strike using both methods I will be confident of the actual cost.

What's difficult to figure in, is all the two coin payouts, that just get added as credits. So in the hypothetical situation, where a player puts in $20 to play and during the session wins two strikes, they would say the strikes cost $20 or $10 each. (remember hypothetical!) But in fact they have won some payoffs during that time, so the actual cost was over $20. You need to include the initial amount, all winnings in between and balance with what's left at the end.

ANSWER: Piece of cake once I have all the frequencies. Once I finish charting the 7's the I will have to chart the single bars, double bars and triple bars.

Too much book keeping for a scientific study. So the alternate method.

ANSWER: It keeps the play from getting boring.

How much did you start with, how much did you end with, how many strikes... is what we can know.

ANSWER: As stated above I also am doing that also.
