Re: $200 Strike question
In Response To: $200 Strike question ()

The casinos want to keep the $200 strikes .999 fine silver as approved by NV Gaming Comm. Shaun Webster at the 4-Queens wants the Red Caps to be solid silver but this is still just his wish and no prototype art work has been made. If Shaun can't get the solid silver Red Caps he would like any future ones to have the .999 fine silver insert. Everything is up to what the mint is willing to do and what Gaming will approve. Keep in mind that the Queen of Diamonds red cap which went in play during the Jan. 4-Queens slot tournament was actually the very first "clad" strike submited & approved by Gaming--it just never went in play until the slot tournament.

The clad strikes have a brass ring and a silver plated brass insert. Lets just hope that other casinos put back the previously removed strike machines because they are now cost effective to operate. The only thing is the economy is in the dumps.
