I know I haven't made a whole lot of friends on this board with my last few posts, but I want people to understand why they were made.

I have but one goal when I speak my mind and that goal is for the advancement of the hobby we all enjoy.

It does not matter if you collect Silver Strikes, Room Keys, Swizzle Sticks, Matchbooks or chips, we all have something in common, we love to collect.

When I took over as Treasurer of the nearly 2 years ago I gave my oath to do everything I could to help support the club and act in the best interest of the club, and I feel it is my obligation to do so.

Now I completely understand about some people not being club members and I have no issues with that. I am also Vice President of the Greater Houston Chip Collectors Club where many of our own members are not members of the

However even non members must understand the importance of the success. It is my opinion that the is the driving force of the hobby and if it fails, a good part of our beloved hobby fails as well.

I just wanted everyone to know, my words are not out of spite and may to some seem unreasonably harsh. However, that was never the intention as my only real goal is to help people understand the importance of the club. When I see or read something that may adversly impact the club and hobby I love, I feel it is my obligation to speak out.

You are right the needs the Silver Strikers and we should all be working as one to achieve the best for both clubs.
