The Silver Strike club has never pursued a room deal or even a tournament, it is done by the casinos and not sponsored in any way by the club, and that has been very clearly stated already. Perhaps a solution to all this would be if the Palms does do a tournament, that it be one or two days BEFORE or AFTER the CCGTCC convention, so as to not provide a conflict where members have be make a choice?

I don't think threats from "dad" are going to accomplish anything to solve the problem, which is both clubs are HURTING financially. Remember, the more "dad" (CCGTCC) tells the "rebel teenager" (SS CLUB) to do something, the more the rebel teenager is going to do the opposite. The more it keeps getting harped on about how upset CCGTCC would be, the more it makes people certain they are going to stay at the Palms....STRICTLY MY OPINION, but no one likes to be bullied, and even though that may not be the intent, that is how it's coming across. As Walt pointed out perfect, there are people who aren't even in either club that attend the tournaments. South Point is way off the strip, there will be minimal walk-in traffic for dealers, there are no silver strike machines there, so it's not hard to see why someone may prefer staying at the Palms if there is a good room deal...

Again, a SOLUTION could be to plan the days of the tournament so it doesn't conflict with the convention...
