Silver Strikers dont get casino comps because of what they collect, they get it because they gamble. Just as chippers who gamble get free rooms as well.

I have been offered free rooms every single time I have been to Vegas because of my play. However I have always choose to support the by booking my room thru the club no matter what free offers I have elsewhere.

Now I am not asking everyone to do the same, I am just pointing out that if another club decides to hold an event offsite at the same time as the convention and part of that deal involves staying somewhere other than the host hotel, in my opinion (And a lot of other peoples) that would be detrimental to the .

If I were running a sportscard show that had been planned for a year and another dealer desided to hold a second show on that same date in the same town and offer special deals to stay at a different hotel, I would feel the same way.

Believe it or not, this is the weekend of the annual convention, which for club members is HUGE. If another club chooses to draw people elsewhere to stay, I say that hurts the club and the hobby no matter what you collect.

Like I said thats my opinion but many people including he majority of the BOD feel that way. People are free to do whatever they choose, I just hope they choose wisely.
