Doug, apparently you are not a silver striker. One of the luxuries of being a strike collector is that the casinos comp rooms. Most of the silver strikers have played the Silver Strike machines and get free rooms because of this play and will not stay at the South Point anyway. Chip collectors do not get free rooms that I know and are likely to stay at the South Point and not the Palms. If the Palms Casino does have the strike tournament there will strike collectors come to Vegas for the tournament that weren’t planning to come to Vegas that week. The South Point will get some of their traffic because of this tournament. My opinion is that the tournament will help attendance at the CC>CC and not hurt it.
