There are many reasons to form any sort of club. A collecting club of course has a primary goal of supporting the collector. Since there seems to be a negative effect on the hobby by dealers the strike club could form a cooperative to obtain strikes directly for the members. Lets assume 50 members would be interested in participating in such an effort. Each could place $100 in the cooperative fund. Club members that live in the area of the strike release could take those funds to play the machines to achieve the same results as the dealers. That advantage would be a lower price average for volume play. The strikes would be sold to the participating cooperative members for cost. This would replenish the fund for next time. If a member decided to leave the coop their initial $100 deposit would be refunded. I'm sure the club officers could work out the details to place such a system into use.
Your opinions will be interesting!
